We cover the convergence of key economic stakeholders, women / business / sustainable practices — mainly from the public’s or consumer’s point of view.
There are infinite number of marketers telling business how to engage women, but there are few sites dedicated to educating women-at-large on how to leverage their strength in numbers and economic clout to get what they want for their families and the world. The Boston Consulting Group reports that women will control $15 trillion – 70 per cent – of total global consumer spend by 2014. Will that clout be passive or take an active role in the buyer/seller equation?
Our Goal
To Observe, Document, Speak and Teach the effects of women’s values when infused in consumer goods and services and how sustainable practices will work in tandem to increase transparency and trust.
We’re about authentic cultural change for the better. It wasn’t so long ago that advertising sent some very bad messages. Imagine how different the emerging culture will be when ad images reflect women’s concerns married with sustainable business practices. When women are happy, the world is happy.
If you’re looking for posts on fashion, this isn’t the place. But if you’re curious as to how our decisions on fashion, food, household items, volunteerism and even the very words we choose to write on our Facebook pages are helping to co-create the next global culture, stick around. Business is hanging onto every word and action women make, will you be part of the solution or order another round of Chardonnay? Why not do both?
Join us as we tip our glass to the women who are shifting and lifting society in ways we never thought possible and sharing their stories through our speaker’s bureau and writings.
Behind In Women We Trust
IWWT is loosely anchored by marketing, financial, and sustainable practices consultants. They are experts in their own sectors, yet can graciously reach across the conversation and see where new ideas connect. They are instigators, agitators and facilitators by nature and great fun during virtual happy hours. You can find the full list on the speakers page.
Keeping topics on task are Mary Clare Hunt and Marianne Richmond – turn-coat marketers now working on behalf of enlightened consumers and companies.
We endorse open-learning and as such, everything is up for cross-examination. Feel free to add your comments, factoids, or contact us to contribute your paper, posts, expertise or speaker request.
